The Chattahoochee Hills Country International Horse Trials (CHC International Horse Trials) is thrilled to announce its inaugural event this May 17 through 19, 2013. The three-day “equestrian triathlon” will be held just 30 minutes travel time from Downtown Atlanta at Bouckaert Farms, a scenic 8,000-acre equestrian paradise along the Chattahoochee River. Attracting amateur, professional, international athletes and Olympian competitors, the CHC International Horse Trials of 2013 will also feature a variety of activities and amenities for all ages to enjoy an exciting weekend in the country.

“Our goal is to showcase the historic equestrian Olympic sport known as eventing or as an equestrian triathlon, as a true festival in the country, while introducing it to new fans and emphasizing its uniqueness with new added entertainment and amenities,” says Michael Pollard, founder of the CHC International Horse Trials.

Whether new to the sport or a seasoned eventing enthusiast, festival goers are invited to watch the grueling three-day competition that tests the training, ability, and strength of a horse, along with the connection between horse and rider. Additionally, CHC International Horse Trials is taking traditional eventing to a new level by offering family friendly activities and amenities throughout the weekend, including a shopping bazaar, food trucks, a beer garden, a kid zone, bars, rider meet and greets, and more. On Saturday night, festival goers are invited to enjoy an impressive bonfire and live music performances from the Mike Snowden One Man Cigar Box Guitar Band, DJ RL Shine and headliner The Packway Handle Band.

The Nashville group has just released a new single “Sunbird” and is getting ready to hit the road on a tour of the same name.

These guys will be playing at VINYL on May 24th.

Having released their debut album, Kaleidoscope, last year, VITEK has been working tirelessly to produce more music and further grow and develop their sound. Ssinger Gabrahm Vitek stated, “Our new sound for the ‘Sunbird’ release is Afro-Electro-Pop. It serves as a bridge from our previous release, Kaleidoscope, an eclectic Art-Pop record put together on the fly in August 2011. Kaleidoscope was a fitting title for the stage in our career as a band; It was as if we were all looking into a kaleidoscope of all our talents, but didn’t know how to facilitate them very efficiently yet, so it ended up being an album that kind of spun around a collage of genres. The textures and structures are becoming more intentional and focused with ‘Sunbird.’

In case you have been dwelling in a cave for the past few months, you already know that the world’s largest EDM festival, Tomorrow World, will be held here in Atlanta this year! Over the past few years, North America has taken the title of being the world’s headquarters, for electronic music. Admittedly, we were a little behind the curve compared to our European cousins when it comes to the genre. However, with the help of the blossoming festival scene here in the states, electronic music has taken giant leaps forward in its popularity.

With this growth, the masterminds behind Tomorrow World have decided to bring the festival to America for the first time ever! Luckily for us Georgians, they have made the wonderfully intelligent choice, to put it in Atlanta’s backyard! With our virgining music scene and beautiful open spaces, it’s no surprise they chose our quiet corner of the Southeast to host the festival.

They have been releasing the line-up in chunks of artists, as opposed to one giant announcement. This just adds to already immense anticipation for the festival. We decided to post line-up, so far, in case you missed it. More updates as they come along….
